Audition

The Cincinnati Choral Society always welcomes new singers who share our love of good music and good fellowship.

  • Rehearsals are held in the Indian Hill / Kenwood area of Cincinnati.
  • The ability to read music is a requirement.

The CCS rehearsal schedule is worked out in advance based on the overall availability of singers for each concert cycle. Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays tend to be favored, with several sectional rehearsals also scheduled. The rehearsal location is in the Indian Hill / Kenwood area of Cincinnati.
Each member purchases their own sheet music and concert attire.

Auditions for the Cincinnati Choral Society are by appointment.

The artistic director meets with every incoming singer to hear their range and voice quality, get a sense of their musicianship, and learn about them as people.

  • Singers should prepare a short solo piece with piano accompaniment (bring the piano music with you so we can accompany you).

    Contributions: CCS does not require membership dues. However, each member is expected to contribute to the financial stability of the organization as their situation permits. The Base Membership to cover music costs is expected.
